Basket Mill
The basket mill offered by Frigmaires combines the processes of premixing, dispersing and grinding, all in a single operation. The machine holding the grinding media is immersed into the process tank containing the charge material. On starting, the bottom blade begins to disperse the material and pumps it into the grinding chamber containing the media. Inside the chamber, the material is subjected to high shearing and attrition forces are created by the combined effect of the hardened milling discs and the grinding media. The material then exits from the bottom of the basket through a screen assembly. This process is repeated a number of times until the entire product passes through the grinding chamber and is uniformly processed. It has the following advantages: saves time, enhances optimum use of power, continuity of process, easy to clean, and helps in quick product change over. The optional features include: explosion proof construction, vacuum arrangements and separate cleaning tank.
