Flash Dryer
Flash Dryer is used for the rapid dehydration of wet particulate solids. It is used in applications such as starch, soup powder, inorganic salts, and vegetables/soya proteins. The evaporation process is brief and in seconds. The feed is dispersed in the carrying gas, thereby creating a large surface area enabling extremely high heat and mass transfer rates. Advantages include: relatively lower investment cost, low maintenance cost; short residence time prevents decomposition of heat sensitive materials & product recovery and size reduction can be carried out simultaneously with drying.
