This tubing is an excellent product for sealing and insulating cable splices, connections, terminations and jacket repairs. It is designed to withstand the severe mechanical requirements of URD submersible and direct-buried installations. Electrical property and data: the sleeve has a dielectric strength (kV/mm) of 29.85, volume resistance (-cm) of V 1.88 x 1015, dielectric constant of 3.1 and dielectric loss of 8.4 x 10-3. Shrinkage property and data: The sleeve has an initial recovery temperature of 60°C and the full recovery temperature of 125°C. It has a radial shrinking ratio of 58%. Chemical property and data: The sleeve has oxygen index of 30 and undergoes plain wire flame test of FV-0. It has water absorption of 0.13% and has excellent acid and alkali resistance. Physical property and data: The sleeve has a tensile strength (Mpa) of 12.82 and has ultimate elongation up to 703%. It has low-temperature flexibility of -40°C/4 hrs) that enables no cracking. It has a heat shock of 250°C/4hrs, which ensures no cracking. Used in 100°C, it has the life span of over 20 years. It is constructed from irradiated, cross-linked, thermally stabilized, flame retarded polyolefin.
