Profile: Motran Industries, Inc. designs, develops, and manufactures a full range of inertial, linear, and rotary force voice coil actuators. We also manufacture high-performance acoustic transducers and bi-stable actuators. Arc-segment actuators aree linear motors, which have from 30 to 38 degrees of travel and develop from 4 to 15 ounce inches of torque, with resistive position sensing capabilities incorporated into each individual unit. We design, develop, and manufacture both moving coil & moving armature, compressor/expander and balancer/displacer cryocooler linear motors, with force constants ranging from 14 to 28 Newtons per Ampere.
