Description: Mud/sewage pumps are non-clogging solid handling pumps which are essentially centrifugal, single stage end suction solids handling back-pull out type pumps. The casing is radially split and of ring volute type with large cross-section area for easy passage of solids, and is designed sturdy to withstand impact load of solids. Impellers are of large passage area, fewer vanes, semi open or open or fully open type for easy passage of solids through it. These are also provided with back vanes to balance axial thrust and to reduce pressure on stuffing box thereby increasing the life of packings and bearings. The pumps can be supplied with mechanical seal. Pumps with different materials of construction such as cast iron, cast steel and SS 304/316 can be supplied depending upon the liquid to be handled. These pumps are ideal for pumping corrosive and abrasive slurries, polluted liquids, waste water, sewage, liquid with fibrous material and soft solids in suspension sludges. The pumps are available in: capacity - 178 LPS max; head - 46 m max; solid size - 50 mm max; and power - 60 HP max. Pump Engineering Company offers these mud/sewage pumps.
