It has high load bearing capacity (PV value 20,000 N/cm2 x m/min2) and high wear resistance. The pockets containing the non-liquid lubricant occupy 25-30% of the bearing surface providing a self-lubrication film of graphite on the wear surface. The lubricant deposits are placed in staggered geometrical patterns, thus insuring optimal lubrication effect along the sliding motion.
