Fiber Optic Sensors
Fiber Optic Sensors are used in space constrained areas as well in high temperature applications. There are two parts in fiber optic sensors, one is the optical fiber cable and the other one, the amplifier. BF4R Series sensors are of auto tuning setting type. These are available with PNP or NPN open collector outputs. The sensitivity can be adjusted using the buttons on the amplifier. The sensor has fast response time of 0.5 msec. These are working on 12-24V DC power supply. The green red light source helps the customer to locate the light source and mount the fiber in the correct location. The sensor is provided with over current protection and reverse polarity protection. The output can be configured for light On or for dark On mode. An Off delay timer function with 40 msec time delay is provided in the sensor. BF3RX is another series available, which can be mounted on DIN rail. These are with rotary potentiometer type. All the fiber optic sensors are available with light On/dark On facility to cater to the logical requirement of the controller, to which it is connected.
