Abrasive Finish Blasting produces an effect that may combine both a cleaning and finishing action. The finishing effect may vary by controlling such factors as hardness of the abrasive, abrasive particle size, velocity of abrasive stream, angle of abrasive gun, distance from the work, method of application and work flow. It can save from 25% to 75% of the time normally required by hand cleaning. It also produces a better tooth for bonding. It is supposed to be a scrubbing action, not a peening process. Therefore, the gun should always be aimed at a 60° to 45° angle to the surface.

Abrasive Flap Wheels are used for sanding and general clean up of irregular or curved sections of wood, metal and fiberglass. It is available in grits 80,120,180 & 240 for fine finishing. 

Abrasive Jet Cutting Machines are used to cut sheet materials or to remove materials from a surface by generating a focused stream of fluid mixed with abrasive particles. Abrasive jet cutting machines are available as complete systems with all of the components required for the blasting or jet machining applications such as pressure generation/intensification, cabinets, nozzles or wheels and dust collectors. Abrasive water jet cutting machines use abrasive grains entrained in a stream of water to cut through metal, composite or other materials in sheet or web forms.

The use of abrasive stones, either worked by hand or in conjunction with reciprocating power tools, normally is the next phase in mold finishing. These stones are a combination of grit particles suspended in a bonding agent. It is available in variety of sizes, shapes and grades. It is used for grinding and polishing of marble, granite, & porcelain. It is able to produce extremely close dimensional tolerances and very fine surface finishes.
