Sodium Hypochlorite Batch System is designed to produce 1000-gallon batches of sodium hypochlorite. The basic principle of operation is to put water into the recycle tank and add 50% caustic until the strength of the caustic is approximately 6.75% (typical). Within a few batches, the amount of water and amount of caustic to be added will be established and then lines may be drawn on the tank to show the operators how much water, and then caustic, to add. The 50% caustic can be pumped into the tank or pulled into the system from the shipping container or a storage tank by partially closing the recycle tank outlet valve and opening the 50% caustic tank storage valve. After the caustic is mixed, chlorine is added to the solution to react with the caustic, except for a small amount of excess (0.2% by weight typical). The final excess caustic endpoint is controlled by the batch controller. Sodium hypochlorite strength can be varied by changing the strength of the diluted caustic.

Sodium hypochlorite continuous system is the process, which uses liquid or vapour chlorine and caustic, is versatile and has the design capability of making any concentration of sodium hypochlorite solution from 2 trade percent up to 20 trade percent. The continuous sodium hypochlorite process system is constructed of high quality components to ensure long service life with a minimum of maintenance. In addition, mechanical refrigeration is not required to cool the process. When cooling is required, titanium plate heat exchangers utilize water from cooling towers to cool the process. The unit is small and compact, housed by sturdy steel frame that measures 20'long by 8' wide by 9' high.

Sodium hypochlorite filter system is to remove heavy metals and suspended solids is required in almost every application. Typically, sodium hypochlorite used in drinking water treatment and laundry bleach packaged in small bottles such as 1 gallon must be filtered. Other typical applications that require filtered sodium hypochlorite include wastewater treatment applications and any sodium hypochlorite stored at the customer's site in large tanks where accumulated suspended solids will precipitate with the heavy metals and settle to the bottom of the tanks. The only filtering method that will produce the required results for these circumstances is a system that uses a filter aid in conjunction with additives to the bleach to help complex the metals and suspended solids.

A sodium vapor lamp is a gas release light, which uses sodium in an excited state to produce light. There are two types of sodium vapor lamps such as low pressure and high pressure. Low pressure sodium vapor lamp consists of an outer vacuum envelope of glass coated with an infrared reflecting layer of indium tin oxide, a semiconductor material that allows the visible light wavelengths out and keeps the infrared (heat) back. High pressure sodium vapor lamp is smaller and contains some other elements, producing a dark pink glow when first struck, and a pinkish orange light when warmed up.
