Babbitt Bearings are rotary bearings made from special alloys poured into place in the bearing housing. A babbitt bearing is made of babbitt metal, a soft alloy of tin, antimony and lead. Babbitt bearings are produced by the deposition of a thin layer of babbitt metal onto plain bearings. Babbitt bearings are used in many applications, which includes high-speed rotating equipment such as compressors, chillers, turbines, electric motors, gear drives and pumps.

Back Ferrule is used to reduce extrusion. Back ferrule locks on the outside diameter of the tube to complete the sealing action and secure the tube within the fitting. Back ferrule is designed to help compensate for exposure to system variables such as vibration, pressure pulsation and thermal expansion/contraction. Back ferrule is designed to rotate with the nut instead of the lower ferrule, which gets swaged on. This helps reduce torque & twisting action on the tube and/or lower ferrule that actually does the sealing.

Backfill Tampers are designed to effectively compact soil around foundations and other structures & for compacting backfill in trenches. They feature heat-treated cylinder & chrome plated piston, exhaust deflector and integral oiler.
