Backflow preventer is commonly called dual check valve. This device allows water to flow in one direction. It features straight line, poppet-type construction to minimize pressure drop and provide smooth flow characteristics. This can be installed horizontally or vertically. It has one spring-loaded seat, which allows water to go one way only.
