Municipal engineering includes all of the civil and environmental engineering services required to address the complex infrastructure, environmental and land use issues facing municipal governments. It provides planning, design, construction and regulatory services. Major activities include network planning for municipal services, functional and detailed designs, land development, traffic management and operations, parking control and enforcement, construction and project management services, technical support services, and regulatory control through bylaw enforcement.
