Electrodeionization (EDI) is a separation process combining ion exchange and electro dialysis. This technology has been commercialized for removal of ionic species in high-purity water applications but has not been used in chemical processes because of unacceptable leakage rates and product loss. Also, these commercial EDI modules are not readily serviceable. EDI is an advanced technology for product purification and water recycling because it reduces or eliminates chemical usage and waste disposal and can greatly reduce energy consumption.
Electrogalvanized ultra high strength steels are cold-rolled steel sheets, heat treated in a continuous annealing line and finally electrogalvanized. The steel sheet is supplied with zinc coating with appropriate post-treatment such as phosphating, chromating or oiling. These steels provide cost effective solutions for parts requiring high corrosion protection at high strength levels. The electrogalvanized steels are for applications requiring ultra high strength and corrosion resistance.
Electrokinetic Charge Analyzer gives quantitative information about the compatibility of furnish with chemical additives, quantity of anionic trash and the dosage of wet end chemicals. They measure colloidal and ionic charge of the wet end using the streaming current principle.
