Tubular Heating Elements
Mineralfilled metal sheathed tubular heating elements consist of resistance coil made of Kanthal resistance wire and centrally embedded in insulation powder MgO (fused magnesia) and compacted to rock solid form for faster heat transfer to the surface and excellent dielectric strength. This makes tubular elements safer to use, reliable and precisely controllable. Tubular elements manufactured in straight length are annealed to make it suitable for bending in any desired shape accustomed to space availability. Kanthal can make tubular elements in variable length up to 7000 m, wide range of electrical rating, sheathing tube materials and four different tube diameters, viz, 8.0 mm, 10.7 mm, 13.4 mm and 16 mm.
