The baseline risk assessment is an analysis of the potential adverse health effects (current or future) caused by hazardous substance releases from a site in the absence of any actions to control or mitigate these releases. The baseline risk assessment contributes to the site characterization and subsequent development, evaluation, and selection of appropriate response alternatives. The results of the baseline risk assessment are used to help determine whether additional response action is necessary at the site, modify preliminary remediation goals, help support selection of the no- action remedial alternative, where appropriate, and document the magnitude of risk at a site, and the primary causes of that risk.

Bentonite slurry walls are constructed by mixing the excavated soils with the bentonite slurry and gradually backfilling the trench. Backfilling begins by lowering the fill into the bottom of one end of the trench using a clamshell. When the mound of backfill reaches the surface, the remainder of the trench is filed by pushing fill down the slope of the mound into the trench using a bulldozer. Operators gradually move down the trench until the entire trench is backfilled. The ideal soil for bentonite wall is silty sand. Chunks of clay, rocks bigger than 6 inches and roots, or other organic material must be removed from the soil before mixing with the bentonite slurry. Installation of bentonite slurry wall requires level ground and a large work area to mix the soil with the bentonite slurry. These walls are susceptible to attack by incompatible chemicals.

Bin vent uses fabric bags supported internally by a wire cage for filtration while the bin vent uses a pleated cartridge medial for fine dust filtering. Nozzle based cleaning system is used in bin vents. This ensures long media life with reduced pressure drop and less compressed air usage.

Biodigester system operates on the principles of anaerobic technology and is used to treat organic farm waste. Anaerobic technology is the process of treating wastewater without using oxygen. An anaerobic digester is an industrial system that harnesses this natural process to treat waste, produce biogas that can be used to power electricity generators, provide heat and produce soil-improving material. This technology is used to treat wastewater in an environmentally friendly manner and facilitating its use for irrigation or its return to water bodies without polluting them. The process also generates organic fertilizer and biogas by allowing naturally occurring bacteria to break down solid waste.

Biofertilizers are organisms that enrich the nutrient quality of soil. The main sources of biofertilizers are bacteria, fungi and cynobacteria. They help to solve problems such as increased salinity of the soil and chemical run-offs from the agricultural fields. These are products consisting of selected and beneficial microorganisms, which are known to improve plant growth through supply of plant nutrients. It is the most advanced biotechnology necessary to support developing organic agriculture, sustaintable agriculture, green agriculture and non-pollution agriculture. They are widely used in rice production. The biofertilizers used for rice crop are azospirillum, phosphobacteria, blue green algae azolla and mycorhiza.

Biological reactors are nothing but waste treatment plants, which constitute of waste streams and its interaction with the microorganisms. Biological treatment processes are mainly classified as aerobic and anaerobic. At first, the solid substances are converted into liquids or gases in order to decrease their density. And then the solids are allowed to sediment by suspension. Now the chemicals are added to separate the dissolved substances. Finally the tertiary treatment methods are implemented. Each waste has a specific method by which it can be treated. The treated waste can be used again. However these processes have less effect on pesticides and insecticides.
