Flow control regulators are double diaphragm spring balanced flow ratio control regulators that offer maximum control and fuel efficiency on gas-fired applications involving preheated air to the burners. These serve a dual function. These relieve upstream pressure while at the same time controlling downstream pressure. The controlled pressure downstream is equal to the upstream pressure minus the spring setting. Springs are color-coded in cataloged pressure ranges.
Flow control valve regulates the flow or pressure of a fluid. They respond to signals generated by independent devices such as flow meters or temperature gauges. These are normally fitted with actuators and positioners. It works with hydraulic actuators. These types of valves are also known as Automatic Control Valves. The Automatic Control Valves do not require an external power source, as the fluid pressure is enough to open and close the valve.
Flow Controller provides fast response to the steam pressure changes in spite of the valve dead band. The tray temperature controller sets the set point for the flow control loop. The tray temperature is used as an indicator of the product composition because the dead time of a tray temperature measurement is nearly non-existent and a high correlation can be established. A power flow controlling facts device directly influences the active and reactive power flow over its control path.
Flow Couplings are designed to minimize erosion and are installed above & below diameter changes in the tubing string. Flow couplings are heavy wall tubes, which are run as an integral part of the tubing string. Flow couplings are available from tube-alloy in all API and proprietary grades of steel including stainless steel. Flow couplings are used above & below tubing retrievable flow control devices such as sub surface safety valves, landing nipples and sliding sleeves to protect the tubing from erosion caused by fluid turbulence.
Flow diffusers are used for hydraulic high-speed return lines, to slow down fluids entering the reservoir. It helps to cure foaming problems and prevent cavitations caused by flow disturbance at the pump inlet. It allows greater freedom in reservoir design, and may even eliminate the need for tank baffling plates. It also reduces the noise generated in reservoir.
