Power Factor Controller provides a digital readout of current, voltage, power factor and power & energy consumption. It is available for single-phase & three-phase motors in the full range of NEMA enclosures with voltage ratings up to 600 volts and in sizes up to 1,000 hp. These controllers increase the harmonic content of the motor.
Power factor correction banks are ideally suited for power factor correction in applications where the load does not change or where the capacitor is switched with the load, such as the load side of a motor contactor. It helps large steel mill facilities that require relatively large amounts of reactive power to operate.
Power Factor Transducers have an analog output corresponding to 1-cosine of the phase angle of the input current relative to the input voltage signal. The analog output will indicate leading or lagging power factor by its direction from center which would either be 0mA or 12mA based on output selection.
