Analog voltmeters are instruments that measure voltage or voltage drop in a circuit. They display values on a dial, usually with a needle or moving pointer. Analog voltmeters are used to locate excessive resistance that may indicate an open circuit or ground. They are also used to identify low voltage or voltage drops that may indicate a poor connection. Analog voltmeters are connected in parallel (and never in series) with the circuit being tested so that the meter can tap a small amount of current. The positive lead is connected to the circuit's positive side and the negative lead is connected to the circuit's ground. An ammeter is a measuring instrument used to measure the flow of electric current in a circuit. Electric currents are measured in amperes. Modern ammeter designs are non-mechanical, or digital, and use an analog to digital converter to measure the voltage across the shunt resistor. Frequency meters are instruments that provide analog outputs as frequencies that vary as a function of the applied input. They display values on a dial, usually with a needle or moving pointer. Frequency meters measure repetitions per unit of time, usually per second, of a complete electromagnetic waveform.

Angle Beam Transducers are used for testing of weld integrity. Angle beam transducers are single element transducers used with a wedge to introduce a refracted shear wave or longitudinal wave into a test piece. They are also used to generate surface waves for use in detecting defects on the surface of a component. Angle beam transducers allow inspections in areas of a part that cannot be accessed by the ultrasonic path of a normal incidence contact transducer. A common use for angle beam transducers is in weld inspection, where a weld crown blocks access to the weld zone of interest for a standard contact transducer and where typical flaw alignment produces stronger reflections from an angled beam. Angle beam transducers include mounted transparent angle blocks and are used for weld inspection & flaw detection.

Anti vibration pads are used to minimize low frequency sound disturbance. It stops the disturbing vibrations encountered when using scroll saws, bench sanders, grinders, bandsaws, and small motor-driven tools. It helps to insulate the tank from traffic noise and other low-frequency sound disturbances. It is specially designed to limit sound and direct vibration of the machine through the floor into the ceiling below.

Anti-reflection coatings are a type of optical coating applied to the surface of lenses and other optical devices to reduce reflection. These coatings keep light from being lost and they prevent ghost images or flare. They are composed of transparent thin film structures, with alternating layers of contrasting refractive index. It consists of a single quarter-wave layer of transparent material whose refractive index is the square root of the substrate's refractive index. This theoretically gives zero reflectance at the center wavelength and decreased reflectance for wavelengths in a broad band around the center. These coatings are useful in situations where high transmission through a surface is unimportant or undesirable, but low reflectivity from the surface is desired.

An Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG) is a piece of electronic test equipment used to generate electrical waveforms. These waveforms can be either repetitive or single-shot (once only) in which case some kind of triggering source is required (internal or external). The resulting waveforms can be injected into a device under test and analyzed as they progress through the device, confirming the proper operation of the device or pinpointing a fault in the device. AWGs can generate any arbitrarily defined waveshape as their output. The waveform is usually defined as a series of waypoints (specific voltage targets occurring at specific times along the waveform) and the AWG can either jump to those levels or use any of several methods to interpolate between those levels.
