It is a quarter wave resonator tube designed to produce sound energy at predetermined frequencies, typical in the 10 - 50 Hz range. Each acoustic cleaner is custom build to operate at the desired frequency. The sound is produced by the principle of quarter wave resonance, which is an efficient method to produce sound concentrated at a single frequency. Low-pressure air is fed to the sound generator by an air supply unit. The unit is skid mounted and contains a positive displacement type blower, electric motor, filter, and silencers.

The addressable system suits the needs of specialized homes as the display of calls can be shown wherever required. It will also cater for emergency calls in that staff can make a distinct type of call for extra help by means of emergency tones and pulsing lights & indicators.

The use of aerial cable systems to skid logs has not been widely introduced. It eliminates the need for multiple-duct underground construction and its numerous associated problems, such as; extreme high cost conflicts with other underground utilities, and extended vehicle traffic tie-ups during initial construction and future expansion. The advantages of an aerial cable system are (1) the cable cannot be accidentally dug up, and (2) most of the utility cables are on transmission lines, far off the ground and only accessible by trained professionals.
