A beaker is a simple container for handling liquids in laboratories. Beakers are generally cylindrical in shape, with a flat bottom. It is available in a wide range of sizes, from 1mL up to several litres. Beakers are used for holding solutions of corrosive chemicals, such as acids, should be made of Teflon or other materials resistant to corrosion, eg borosilicate glass. Beakers are often graduated, marked on the side with lines indicating the volume contained. For instance, a 250 mL beaker might be marked with lines to indicate 50, 100, 150, 200, and 250 mL of volume. Beaker is distinguished from a flask by having sides which are straight rather than sloping. Beakers are used more often in general chemistry than flasks.

Beam Clamps are used to attach to an I-beam flange for overhead lifting and rigging applications. It is adjustable to fit a wide range of flange widths. It provides a temporary or permanent mount to a wide range of tapered or flat beams. The clamp jaws are designed to reduce beam stress by applying the load inside of the flange edge. It allows the mounting of hoists or rigging from an overhead load bearing structure.
