Sway strut assemblies are used to restrain movement of piping in one direction while providing for movement due to thermal expansion or contraction in another direction. It is made up of carbon steel, except for load pin, which is stainless steel. It is effective under either tensile or compressive force. It provides 2 to 4 inches of field adjustment in either direction. Spherical, self-aligning ball bushing at both ends of the strut allows for plus or minus 5 degrees of angular motion or misalignment. Bushings are coated with a dry lubricant.

Sweep Blade Agitators contains an anchor or helical blade that passes close to the walls. They are commonly used to scrape the walls for uniform mixing or to de-aerate.

Sweep gages consists of sweep body, contact, fork, swivel, indicator, and guard. Sweep body is made of steel and hardened to a Rockwell slightly harder than the bushing to reduce wear. The contact is the item that makes contact with the part being checked. The fork works in relationship to the contact. It is the transfer mechanism that carries the movement from the contact to the indicator unit at a 1:1 ratio. The swivel is attached the sweep body, and is the device which holds the indicator in place by use of a collet.
