Thermal flow switch is an essential part of numerous industrial/commercial manufacturing process. It can be used in pipe diameters from 0.25 inch to over 99 inches. The thermal flow switch monitor is based on the principle of thermal dispersion. A typical configuration uses two temperature detectors set within the tip of the sensor. As the process medium flows over the tip of the sensor, it disperses some of the heat from the heated temperature detector. The delta temperature is a function of flow velocity and converted into electronic signal. They are used on small dosing lines up to large fuel gas feed lines. Thermal flow switch is applied with flow meters and level switches where they create superior accuracy and maximum reliability with minimal maintenance.
Thermal fluid heating systems are used in many industrial applications where efficiency and accurate temperature control between 300 deg F and 750 deg F are required
Thermal fluids are used for transferring thermal energy in process heating, metal working, and machine cooling applications. It provides heat to area closed to machinery or process equipment. These fluids differ in terms of viscosity, operating temperature, pour point, boiling point, and flash point. It is used in aerospace, automotive, marine and military applications.
