Refrigerant is a compound used in a heat cycle that undergoes a phase change from a gas to a liquid and back. The two main uses of refrigerants are refrigerators/freezers and air conditioners. It has good thermodynamic properties and is noncorrosive.
Refrigerant Analysis identifies rust, sludge and harmful acids that reduce operating efficiency, cause unnecessary parts wear and catastrophic chiller failure. Refrigerant analysis is important for determining the identity, evaluating purity, selling price and troubleshooting problems associated with refrigeration systems. Refrigerant analysis is accomplished by drawing a liquid refrigerant sample and sending the sample to a fully equipped refrigerant chemistry laboratory.
Refrigerant charging hose has an aerosol shut-off valve connectable to a refrigerant canister and interconnected to a disconnect coupler fitting by a length of refrigerant charging hose. The body portion of the coupler fitting is formed from high tensile strength elastomeric plastic material. A spring-loaded pin member is shifted to open the disconnect coupler fitting. When the coupler fitting is removed from the service fitting, the coupler fitting pin member is spring-driven back to its position.
Refrigerant dehumidifiers make use of the tendency of water to settle as dew on a cold surface. They are used in industrial applications, painting & coating applications and construction. Refrigerant dehumidifiers rely on condensation to reduce the moisture in the air. Refrigerant dehumidifiers have evaporator coils that induce condensation. These refrigerant dehumidifiers are most efficient between 70-90 degrees.
