Horizontal aspirator aeration is an electric motor-driven propeller-type horizontal aspirating aeration. The aerator consists of an electric motor drive above the water surface. The motor is connected to a hollow shaft within a protective housing positioned at a 45-degree angle downward into the water. The shaft is connected and drives a propeller below the water surface. The aerator induces the flow of atmospheric air below the surface of the water and provides flow-linkage mixing in multiple unit arrangements.

Hydraulically balanced reverse osmosis systems are used for various commercial applications. It is used in laboratory grade water to remove the organics and microorganisms plus minerals that can affect repeatability and test data. These are used for pretreatment on deionization systems, ice machines, battery water, pretreatment of humidifiers, metal finishing and drinking water supplies. It is also used in kidney dialysis water to remove the entire potentially dangerous mineral from the water supply.

Portable hydrocarbon filter provides an extra level of hydrocarbon removal. It has a layer of hydrocarbon booms that cover the bottom of the unit. This layer captures any hydrocarbons that are not absorbed in the perimeter boom when the runoff has high concentrations of hydrocarbon. This filter unit is ideal for gas stations, automotive repair facilities, refineries, and vehicle maintenance areas.

Inclined plate clarifier is intended to separate solids from water. It offers a large settling surface area in a very small footprint. The separation of solids is independent of clarifier depth and is most strongly related to the available surface area. It uses a series of closely spaced inclined plates to provide the required settling surface area. The driving force for this separation is gravity operating on the entrained solids. Its advantages include non-clogging inlet diffusion baffle that distributes flow evenly over width of separator, access hatches allow access to sludge chamber and auger without removing plates.

An industrial reverse osmosis plant consists of three separate sections. The first section is the pretreatment section in which the feed water is treated to meet the requirements of reverse osmosis element manufacturers and the dictates of good engineering practice. Following pretreatment, the feed water is introduces into the reverse osmosis section where the feed water is pressurized and routed to the reverse osmosis elements, which are in pressure vessels. The feed water flows across the membrane surface where product water permeates through the membrane and a predetermined amount remains behind as reject. The reject is discharged to waste while the product water is routed to the post-treatment section. The third or post-treatment section treats the product water to remove carbon dioxide and adds chemicals as required for industrial use of the product water.

An ion exchange resin is an insoluble matrix. It is normally in the form of small (1-2 mm diameter) beads, usually white or yellowish, fabricated from an organic polymer substrate. The material has highly developed structure of pores on the surface of which are sites with easily trapped and released ions. The trapping of ions takes place only with simultaneous releasing of other ions; thus the process is called ion exchange. There are multiple different types of ion exchange resin which are fabricated to selectively prefer one or several different types of ions. These are widely used in different separation, purification, and decontamination processes.

Ion exchanger features a number of interesting physical and chemical characteristics. Ion exchangers are used in miniature columns for the preconcentration of metal traces are employed in a variety of sizes and pore diameters. Ion exchangers are used to remove salts from the water. Ion exchangers are divided into anion-exchangers and cation exchangers.

Ion exchange softener exchanges the hardness of calcium and magnesium, which is dissolved in water for the soft mineral sodium. It is operated by replacing the calcium and magnesium salts that form hard water scale with sodium salt. This process is carried out in an ion exchange column. It contains sodium chloride to recharge plastic like beads that exchange hardness minerals like calcium, manganese and magnesium for sodium. It is operated by exchanging the iron in the untreated water with sodium on the ion exchange medium.

Iron removal filters contain a special iron removal media. The media catalyses the oxidation of the iron in the water, which is then filtered out on the media. Backwashing of the filter removes the iron and regenerates the media. These filters are used sometimes to protect ion exchange and reverse osmosis equipment, and sometimes separately, where the unpalatable taste and staining characteristics of iron is causing a problem.
