Globe valves are named for their spherical body shape. The two halves of the valve body are separated by an internal baffle, which has an opening forming a seat onto which a movable disc can be screwed in to close the valve. These valves are used for applications requiring throttling and frequent operation. Globe valves are typically two-port valve, with an opening in the body for fluid flowing in or out. A bonnet provides leakproof closure for the valve body. A bonnet attached with bolts is used for larger or high pressure applications.
Gloss Meter ensures high accuracy measurements. It evaluates the glossy surfaces of coatings, plastics, ferrous and nonferrous metals, and paper for quality control application. Dual-purpose model measures both gloss and coating thickness at the same spot. It displays single measurements or statistics including the number of readings, mean, and standard deviation. It features a scroll wheel and single button for easy operation. Meters also feature additional statistical functions including minimum and maximum readings, range, difference and pass/fail.
Glow Plug is controlled automatically by a timer relay or the electronic control unit (ECU) when the ignition is switched on. Glow plugs are made in both single and double pole types. Glow plugs are used to heat the combustion chambers of some diesel engines in cold conditions to help ignition at coldstart. Glow plugs are required for diesel because they produce the heat needed to ignite the fuel by the compression of air in the cylinder and combustion cahmber. Glow plugs are used for starting as well as continuing the power cycle.
