Welding fixtures are used to position and hold two or more parts together so that the parts can be welded together. They fall into two groups - those that are designed for the parts, which have to be welded, and those that work together with the welding equipment. Welded assemblies rely exclusively on the accuracy of the welding fixture for the location of the parts being assembled. It withstands the heat generated during the welding process without being distorted or damaged, and does not dissipate the heat needed for the welding operation.
