Hot Oils are petroleum-based and consist of paraffinic and/or napthenic hydrocarbons. Hot oils are used in a multitude of heat processing applications. Hot oils have a recommended maximum bulk fluid temperature of 550°F - 600°F. Hot oils are applied to high precision engineering components.

Hydrogen Peroxide is a very pale blue liquid, which appears colorless in a dilute solution, slightly more viscous than water. It is a weak acid. The choice of catalyst applied in the hydrogenation of a certain unsaturated hydrocarbon depends on several factors, such as the reactivity of the substrate and the experimental conditions (pressure, temperature, solvent, liquid- or gas phase reaction).

An ice melters are used on a wood deck can penetrate the wood pores and cause degradation as it dries and re-crystallizes. Wood sealers offer some protection, but ice melters should still be used with care.

They consist of a dye or pigment, casein or nitrocellulose resin. Leather dyes are easy to use and purchased at leather supply outlets, craft stores and shoe repair shops. Leather dyes are applied to the gourd with a foam brush, a dauber or a brush. Leather dyes are alcohol-based and produce an intense & vivid transparent color.
